2018 Loop de Loop Pinot Noir, Symonette Vineyard, Eola Amity Hills AVA $30

The Symonette Vineyard is actually named Nuestro Sueno (Our Dream) Vineyard. However, Tom Symonette received a cease-and-desist order on the name from a big grocery store brand… Whatever the name, it is one of our favorite sites. Pommard and Wadenswil clones of Pinot Noir, planted in 1980, were co-fermented and received post fermentation maceration. This yields a lighter delicate appearance with soft round tannin, elements of dried cherries, rose petals and the sweet aromatics of the forest floor after a spring rain. This wine was fermented with ambient wild yeasts and was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
