Intensely aromatic, this is a special clone of Syrah from the Northern Rhone Valley in France. 100% whole cluster Syrah, sprinkled on top with Riesling, these grapes underwent carbonic fermentation. (We used Reisling instead of the traditional co-fermentation of Syrah with Viognier). It was aged for 10 months in neutral French Oak. The 2019 vintage gave us an indulging combination of structure and accessibility. It is enjoyable right out of the bottle but will also be able to age several years. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered. We expect this will not last long as it has generated a very excited response from our friends who have barrel tasted it with us. We wish we had more of it.
